My father introduced me to cycling when I was 10 years old, as he was an enthusiastic cyclist himself.

I liked the speed of riding a race bike, but as I was very young and fearless, I ended upside down and stopped cycling.

When I started working, around 20 years ago, there were a lot of colleagues that cycled, and so I joined them and restarted my hobby. In the last couple of years I participated several times at “the Ride for the Roses” and an absolute highlight the Alpe d’HuZes, both charity events for the research of Cancer.

This year I decided to take on a new challenge, the London to Monaco ride, as part of the Amels and Damen Yachting team, supporting the Blue Marine Foundation and the amazing Ocean conservation programs they have going on. Looking forward to raising awareness of and contributing to marine conservation so that our industry and future generations can enjoy and love our oceans too.
