For our readers that might not know, could you tell us a little bit about yourselves, what Icon Connect does, and how your services contribute to the overall L2M experience?

Icon Connect are technology company specializing in Audio/Video, IT and Security systems for the superyacht Industry. Based in London and Monaco, we have been a supporter of L2M and the Blue Marine Foundation since its inception in 2016, organizing the Finish Line Party on arrival in Monaco.

When and how did you first get involved with Blue Marine and the London to Monaco (L2M) ride?

We first heard about the event from the founding partner, Winch Design whilst collaborating on a new yacht delivery at Amels. Andrew told us of his intention to celebrate his 30th (business) anniversary with a bike ride in aid of his favourite charity (BLUE) and asked if we could host the arrival party. As we know a thing or two about entertainment, we immediately agreed and have maintained our involvement ever since

What is so special about Blue Marine and the L2M ride that attracts Icon Connect to partner with us again this year?

L2M is an amazing experience for anyone who participates. The event grows year on year bringing together industry professionals and friends of the Ocean to share the pain, suffering and sheer joy of riding bikes through some of the most scenic parts of Europe.

What has been your fondest memory from working with Blue Marine and the L2M ride in previous years?

Getting to the top of any major climb (there have been numerous) and knowing that the pain is over!!

What are you most looking forward to about L2M 2022?

Are there any behind-the-scenes teasers regarding the infamous Icon Connect After-Party that you'd be willing to indulge us with or is this still strictly Top Secret?

Honestly, we haven’t started planning this as yet so a little too early. Whatever it is likely to involve Music and Alcohol!

Is there any advice you would give our riders before they embark on this challenge?

However you feel at the end of Day 1, it will most definitely get easier as the ride progresses…. Oh and try to avoid the temptation to chase the wheel of someone younger than you. This never ends well!!

If you could come back in an afterlife as a sea creature - what would it be & why?

Clown Fish – Those guys have all the fun!!
