It’s been an honour to take part on the London to Monaco ride since 2018 as a member of the Winch Design Team.
Pursuing my passion, riding through awe inspiring countryside, and creating awareness about the fragility of our planet; what a great combination to spur on the mind and body.
More than anything I enjoy playing a part in something bigger, trying to turn the tide in raising awareness to protect our oceans. Much of the work we do at Winch Design focuses on human interaction with the oceans. I believe we have a responsibility to ensure that our oceans and seas flourish for generations to come. The adventure of a lifetime that is L2M makes the effort all the more worthwhile.
The great coffee, plentiful food, the guides, access to bike maintenance – It’s all organized and thought out with great care. And the feeling you have when you cross the finish line - It’s indescribable. Especially when you do it with a team of like-minded individuals who have all laughed, ached and toiled up the hills in the same way that you have.
“It was a pleasure and a privilege to do the first leg of this year’s London to Monaco with a brilliant bunch of riders... to help better protect our oceans, which is so vitally important.”
“The Blue Marine Foundation London to Monaco cycle is now a high profile annual event for cyclists from all backgrounds to enjoy a stunning challenge, whilst engaging with the significant topic of how we better protect our ocean. I am very much looking forwards to turning the pedals and supporting the great work of BLUE.”
“More than just an event, L2M2019 was a journey for me, an authentic mountain experience. I experienced a great variety of terrain from steep and legendary climbs, amazing descents and great flats for building up pace. Regardless of this I was surrounded by a diverse peloton of supportive and passionate riders. The L2M2019 event has been undertaken with a passion for cycling that extends beyond the ordinary. It brought me everything a discerning cyclist could possibly desire. I experienced a supportive and positive atmosphere which helped me reach new heights.”
“An epic cycle, through incredible and diverse country with an amazing group of people.”
“The London-Monaco cyclists became one team with the same goals; enjoying the ride to Monaco and supporting the Blue Marine Foundation.”
